Grinding stone tile saw

SKU:

Whetstone used to sharpen the blade of tile saws

With proper use of your saw, and regular use of our sharpening stones to sharpen the blade at regular intervals, your blade will have a lifespan of up to one year.

Key points for your blade to obtain maximum service life:

  • Let the blade work. Just because you can saw quickly, you shouldn't do it. Listen to the sound of the motor, the speed of the blade should not drop much, if it does, you are pushing too hard. If you press too hard, you will "glaze" the blade and it just has to be thrown away, even though it looks like new. The blade can also get too hot so that the stresses in the steel are released and the blade starts to wobble, the blade is then destroyed. ATTENTION! Our rock saws cut at least as fast as a corresponding water saw. However, some people think that just because it is possible to cut tiles 10 times faster than what they did with their old water saw, it does not mean that it is something that should be done.
  • Use the right blade for the right material. If you are wondering which blade you should use, do not hesitate to contact us.
  • Sharpen the blade immediately when you notice that the blade starts to lose power, decreases more in rpm when sawing or throwing sparks.
  • Change the carbon for the saw motor every year.
  • There are plastic grates in the saw saw table. The gap in these breaks will become wider and wider over time. These must be replaced when the gap has become 10mm or larger to achieve maximum dust collection and cooling of the blade.
  • When using the saw correctly, the segments of the blade should wear down and become lower and lower.
